UI Developer

Project Description

This position falls under HSBC Group Data Technology space. The key focus is on creating connections between business processes, data, products, services, and technology, that underpin our interactions with customers, and financial success. The team provides the provides a single comprehensive data cataloguing solution across HSBC business units.

Responsibilities

Design and develop complex applications to be used by various departments in the organization.

Key Requirements

• DevOps practices (Git, Git Flow and/or GitHub Flow)
• Crafting good UI/UX using mode design systems
• Fluency in JavaScript ES6*
• Data visualization using JavaScript D3 or similar library
• Fluency in HTML 5 and CSS/SCSS/LESS
• Conceptual understanding of Reactive UI frameworks
• Vue.js and React framework and its surrounding ecosystem
• Client-side state management
• ElasticSearch
• Domain-driven Design
  
  

Nice to Have

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in computer science, engineering or related field.
• Experience with one or more general purpose programming languages including but not limited to: Java, C/C++, Python, JavaScript and understanding of software vulnerabilities and vulnerability remediation
• Excellent command of operations risk management processes, principles, architectural requirements, engineering threats and vulnerabilities, including incident response methodologies
• Keen understanding of national and inte ational laws, regulations, policies and ethics related to financial industry cybersecurity
• Expertise in Agile and can work with at least one of the common frameworks
• Knowledge of client side applications and micro services architecture
• Excellent written and spoken communication skills; an ability to communicate with impact, ensuring complex information is articulated in a meaningful way to wide and varied audiences
• Built effective networks across business areas, developing relationships based on mutual trust and encouraging others to do the same
• Ability to quickly acquire new skills and tools
