Description

GlobalLogic is seeking a Security and Cloud Operations Engineer with strong expertise in IAM, access policies, and cloud security best practices. The role requires solid knowledge of networking, log analysis, and troubleshooting tools, along with hands-on experience in Linux/Windows environments, scripting, and version control. Familiarity with cloud platforms-native security tools and monitoring platforms is essential. Provide prompt, courteous, and professional support, understand customer problems and offer timely solutions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline and/or equivalent industry experience.
• 1-3 years of troubleshooting experience. Must have cloud computing experience Cloud or hybrid cloud environments
• Access Policies & IAM: A clear understanding of access policies, service accounts, and how the cloud management console works.
• Identity and Access Management (IAM): Strong understanding of IAM roles and policies within Cloud platform.
• Cloud Computing: Solid understanding of cloud providers including core services.
• Security Protocols: Knowledge of security best practices for securing cloud resources and experience with Networking concepts, protocols, and services, e.g. SSL, TLS, HTTPS, TCP, UDP, VPN, Firewall.
• Networking Troubleshooting: Good networking troubleshooting background (especially for VPC-SC and IAP troubleshooting).
• Experience in solving VPN, VPC, and public/private networking issues.
• Log Analysis: Proven ability to analyze logs for security-related issues and identifying patterns.
• Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Cloud Logging, Cloud Monitoring, Datadog, Prometheus stack, and Grafana for troubleshooting and performance analysis.
• Operating Systems: Proficiency with Linux and Windows.
• Scripting: Familiarity with basic scripting for configuration and troubleshooting.
• Security Tools: Familiarity with security tools.
• Version Control: Hands-on experience with Git.
  
  
  

Job responsibilities

• Manage and troubleshoot IAM roles, access policies, and service accounts in cloud.
• Secure cloud resources by implementing security best practices, including firewall rules, VPNs, and VPC configurations.
• Diagnose and resolve networking issues related to VPC-SC, IAP, VPN, and public/private connectivity.
• Analyze security logs and system metrics using tools like Cloud Logging, Monitoring, Datadog, and Grafana.
• Support Linux and Windows systems in cloud environments; automate tasks via basic scripting.
• Utilize cloud security tools such as Cloud KMS and Security Command Center for compliance and threat mitigation.
• Collaborate using Git for version control and configuration tracking.
