Shadow Teacher + Home Session in Thane, Mumbai

We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Special Needs Teacher to work with children who require additional support in their learning and development. This role involves providing personalized shadow teaching and home sessions, with a focus on Special Education Remediation, Homeschooling, behaviour modification, and curriculum-based remediation. The teacher will work closely with each child to support their growth, developmental milestones, and individual learning needs. The ideal candidate will be committed to creating a positive and nurturing learning environment that promotes both academic and social development.

Key Responsibilities

• Assessing children’s skills and learning requirements
• Developing tailored teaching plans
• Designing monthly plans as per the child’s needs and requirements
• Assessing students’ abilities and craft teaching plans
• Adapt learning materials to students’ needs
• Keeping track of and reflect on students’ progress
• Monitoring children’s behavioural patterns and arrange appropriate interventions if needed
• Informing parents about their children’s performance and potential problems
• Collaborating with the support staff (e.g. school counsellors and speech therapists) to create holistic intervention plans
• Using audio-visual materials and computers to stimulate interest and learning.
