Job Purpose

The Intercontinental Exchange is one of the world’s leading exchange groups, offering a broad range of products and services across global financial markets. We power trading platforms that support equities, derivatives, commodities, and OTC markets. Our QA team plays a critical role in ensuring the reliability and performance of these systems.

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented QA Analyst to join our Quality Assurance team. This role involves testing a variety of financial applications, including a rapidly evolving core platform supporting IM-based OTC derivatives trading, sophisticated market recognition tools, and screen-based trading interfaces. You’ll also contribute to testing platforms supporting equities and options trading.

Responsibilities

• Analyze system functionality and develop manual test cases and scripts based on specifications, stakeholder input, and hands-on exploration.
• Execute functional, regression, and integration testing across front-end and back-end components of trading platforms.
• Collaborate with developers, product managers, and other QA team members to define test requirements and communicate risks.
• Create and maintain test plans, document test results, and track defects using tools such as JIRA and HP ALM.
• Work across multiple projects simultaneously, managing priorities and adapting to shifting requirements.
• Participate in requirement reviews and contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes.
• Ensure high standards of quality in a dynamic environment with rapidly changing priorities.
  
  

Knowledge And Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Finance, Information Systems, or a related field.
• 2+ years’ experience in software QA/testing, preferably within financial services.
• Experience testing financial applications, with a strong preference for trading platforms (UI and backend).
• Strong understanding of QA methodologies and test planning.
• Ability to derive test cases from formal specifications and informal discovery.
• Solid SQL skills for data validation and test support.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proven ability to work effectively in team environments and independently.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  
  

Preferred Knowledge And Experience

• Experience with equities, options, or commodity trading systems.
• Familiarity with derivatives and trading strategies.
• Exposure to scripting or programming languages (e.g., Java, C#, .NET).
• Understanding of RESTful APIs, XML, and JSON.
• Experience with IM-based trading platforms or market recognition software.
  
  

Work Schedule

• This is a full-time, on-site role requiring attendance five days a week in office.
• Occasional work-from-home days may be approved by management.
• Work hours will be determined by the hiring manager.
