Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Sr. Developer with 8 to 12 years of experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in MS Power BI data modeling and DAX. This hybrid role offers the flexibility of working both remotely and on-site with no travel required. The Sr. Developer will play a crucial role in developing and optimizing our data visualization and reporting solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain Power BI reports and dashboards to support business decision-making.
  • Design and implement data models in Power BI to ensure efficient data retrieval and analysis.
  • Write and optimize DAX queries to enhance the performance of Power BI reports.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Ensure data accuracy and consistency across all Power BI reports and dashboards.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for Power BI-related issues.
  • Stay updated with the latest Power BI features and best practices to continuously improve our reporting solutions.
  • Conduct code reviews and provide feedback to junior developers to ensure code quality and adherence to best practices.
  • Develop and maintain documentation for Power BI solutions including data models DAX queries and report specifications.
  • Work closely with the data engineering team to ensure seamless integration of data sources into Power BI.
  • Participate in agile development processes including sprint planning daily stand-ups and retrospectives.
  • Ensure compliance with data governance and security policies in all Power BI solutions.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of our data visualization and reporting capabilities.

Qualifications

  • Possess a strong background in MS Power BI with at least 8 years of hands-on experience.
  • Demonstrate expertise in data modeling within Power BI ensuring efficient and accurate data representation.
  • Have extensive experience with DAX including writing and optimizing complex queries.
  • Show proficiency in gathering and translating business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Exhibit strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot Power BI-related issues.
  • Stay current with the latest Power BI features and best practices.
  • Have experience working in an agile development environment.
  • Possess excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Demonstrate attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy and consistency.
  • Show the ability to mentor and provide feedback to junior developers.
  • Have experience with data governance and security policies.
  • Be able to develop and maintain comprehensive documentation.
  • Exhibit a proactive approach to continuous improvement in data visualization and reporting.

Certifications Required

  • Microsoft Certified: Data Analyst Associate or equivalent certification in Power BI.
