                            Role Overview
The Motion Graphic Designer & Video Editor is a central creative force responsible for crafting high-impact video content that showcases our SaaS products. This role blends storytelling, motion design, video editing, and trend adaptation to deliver marketing and product videos that educate, engage, and convert.
From UI walkthroughs and onboarding tutorials to explainer videos and viral social media snippets, this individual ensures our video assets are visually striking, brand-aligned, and platform-ready, driving user adoption, retention, and overall product awareness.
Key Responsibilities
Develop scripts, storyboards, and visual concepts that simplify complex product flows into engaging narratives.
Apply a problem-solution storytelling framework for explainer videos, customer success stories, and product launches.
Create dynamic motion graphics, kinetic typography, and animated infographics to visualize technical concepts.
Capture high-quality screen recordings for product demos using tools like Camtasia, ScreenFlow, or OBS Studio.
Perform color grading, compositing, VFX integration, and format optimization for different platforms.
Incorporate voiceovers, background scores, captions, and SEO-friendly transcripts for maximum impact.
Adapt long-form videos into short-form snippets (Reels, Shorts, LinkedIn clips) for social media engagement.
Manage versioning, localization, and platform-specific adaptations without compromising quality.
Experiment with modern formats like AI-generated scenes, AR filters, animated typography, and creative transitions.
Use tools like Runway ML, VEED.io, Descript, Topaz AI for AI-powered editing, visual effects, and creative automation.
Generate micro-content for high-frequency marketing campaigns, event promos, and internal updates.
Collaborate with design and marketing teams for cross-platform campaigns, product launches, and webinars.
Ensure asset version control, feedback loops, and project documentation for smooth workflow handovers.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Technical Expertise
Adobe After Effects (UI animation, motion graphics), Adobe Premiere Pro, Photoshop, Illustrator
DaVinci Resolve (color grading, compositing), Camtasia or OBS (screen capture)
Familiarity with AI tools like Runway ML, Descript, and Topaz Video AI for modern video workflows
Creative & Professional Attributes
Strong understanding of design principles, typography, and visual hierarchy
Ability to replicate social media video trends while keeping a professional SaaS tone
Experience with multi-format video delivery: web, social, product onboarding, and internal training
Experience & Education
2–5 years in video production or motion design, preferably in SaaS, IT, or tech marketing
Bachelor’s degree in Multimedia, Animation, Graphic Design, or related fields preferred but not mandatory with a strong portfolio
Portfolio Requirements
60–90 sec demo reel highlighting SaaS product demos, UI animations, and motion design capabilities.
Examples of trend-based videos (short-form, social-first) demonstrating creative adaptation.
Work samples showing technical storytelling, product walkthroughs, and dynamic motion graphics.
