Job Summary:

As a Legal Associate at ideaForge, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing legal matters to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations. This position requires an experienced legal professional capable of providing strategic legal counsel, managing contractual relationships, interacting with Lawyers in preparing strategy of any subject matter and eventually safeguarding the legal interests of the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contract Review and Management:
  • Review, analyze, and draft various legal documents, including contracts, agreements, legal correspondence, partnerships, and vendor contracts.
  • Ensure contracts comply with applicable laws, regulations, and company policies.
  • Manage contract lifecycle, including contract negotiation, execution, and renewal.
  • Maintain an organized and up-to-date contract repository.
  • Ensure digital tool for executing legal documents works efficiently.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify contractual risks and provide recommendations for risk mitigation.
  • Legal Research and Advice:
  • Conduct legal research on various topics related to drone manufacturing, intellectual property, contract law, regulatory compliance and various allied legislations related to the drone industry.
  • Analyze legal issues, provide clear and concise summaries, and make recommendations to internal teams.
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in laws and regulations that impact the drone manufacturing industry.
  • Provide proactive legal advice and guidance to internal teams on a broad range of legal issues.
  • Risk Assessment and Mitigation:
  • Identify and assess legal risks associated with business operations and propose strategies for risk mitigation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement risk management policies.
  • Assist in developing legal strategies and identifying potential risks and opportunities.
  • Regulatory Compliance:
  • Assist in ensuring compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Monitor changes in regulations and assess the impact on the company’s operations.
  • Assist in developing and implementing compliance programs and policies.
  • Provide guidance to internal stakeholders on compliance matters.
  • Legal Support and Documentation:
  • Provide legal support to various departments within the company, including Sales, Operations, and R&D.
  • Assist in drafting and reviewing internal policies, procedures, and guidelines.
  • Prepare legal opinions, memoranda, and presentations.
  • Maintain accurate and organized legal records and documentation.
  • Setting up a Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for legal function.
  • Dispute Resolution:
  • Manage and resolve legal disputes, including litigation.
  • Assist and advise ideaForge in legal proceedings, as required.
  • Training and Development:
  • Conduct legal training sessions for internal teams to enhance legal awareness and compliance.
  • Collaborative Engagement:
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide legal advice and guidance on business initiatives.
  • Assist in coordinating and managing external legal counsel as needed.
  • Support the Legal Function in other legal matters as assigned.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • A bachelor’s degree in law (LLB/LLM) from a recognized institution.
  • Proven experience as a legal executive with a minimum of 2 years in a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of contract law, corporate law, and regulatory frameworks.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Prior experience in the technology or aerospace industry is a plus.
  • Excellent research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational and time management abilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Preference to the candidate who has mainly handled civil & criminal litigations/matters.
  • Proficient in legal research tools and MS Office applications.
