Job Description
An exciting opportunity for Development Engineer has arisen to influence and shape the future of the Defence business in India. The roles involve working with business and external stakeholders to support the delivery of key programme milestones thus enabling the delivery of our Defence Combat strategy.
In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that Rolls-Royce has sufficient oversight for our products to meet business, customer and regulatory requirements. You will also be the point of contact within the project to support and coach the team regarding Validation and Verification activities, driving the right V&V behaviours within the project. Your solutions need to be cost-effective, align to project milestones and take into account the full product lifecycle.

What You Will Be Doing
- Manage the creation of substantiation evidence, clearance/acceptance documentation that meets the demand for the project.
- Understand experiment/test requirements and turn them into test schedules and subsequently test instructions.
- Define and conduct test requirements to validate hardware.
- Define configuration hardware requirements, instrumentation routing/installation requirements to satisfy verification activities.
- Define plans for Development tasks; working with key stakeholders to ensure all work meets customer expectations and is completed to an agreed quality standard.
- Bachelor's or Master's in Mechanical or Aeronautical Engineering. Other qualifications, in combination with relevant experience, may also be considered.
- Experience in requirements validation and design verification.
- Experience in defining experiment / test requirements and instrumentation routing/installation requirements to satisfy verification activities.
- A broad understanding of Gas Turbine physical and functional characteristics would be advantageous.
- Highly numerate with strong technical and analytical skills, problem-solving ability and capable of systems level thinking.
- Excellent communication and inter-personal skills, and will need to be able to contribute effectively in a team environment.
