Job Requirements

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Design Engineer to support our After Sales & Service team by providing engineering solutions for field issues, improvements, retrofits, and customer-specific modifications. The role involves close collaboration with service teams, customers, and design teams to ensure optimal product performance and reliability post-delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Field Issue Resolution

• Analyze and troubleshoot mechanical failures reported from field/service teams.
• Provide design modifications and corrective actions for recurring issues.
• Support root cause analysis (RCA) and implement preventive solutions.

• Design Modifications & Retrofit Solutions

• Develop design changes, upgrades, and retrofit kits for existing products.
• Prepare detailed engineering drawings and documentation for modifications.
• Ensure compatibility of new designs with installed equipment.

• Customer-Specific Customization

• Design mechanical solutions based on customer requirements and site conditions.
• Collaborate with sales/service teams to understand customer expectations.

• Documentation & Compliance

• Maintain design records, revision history, and engineering change notes (ECN).
• Ensure all designs comply with company standards and safety regulations.

• Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Work closely with R&D, manufacturing, quality, and service teams.
• Provide technical guidance to field service engineers.

• Continuous Improvement

• Identify improvement opportunities based on field feedback.
• Enhance product reliability, serviceability, and cost efficiency.
