Your Role – GIS Service Engineer
The Service Engineer is responsible for providing technical service, support, and coordination related to high-voltage circuit breakers. The role involves field service activities, complaint handling, collaboration across departments, and effective use of enterprise tools such as SAP and MS Office. The position requires strong technical knowledge, process understanding, and good communication skills, along with a willingness to travel as required.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical service and support for high-voltage Circuit Breakers with ratings ranging from 72.5 kV to 800 kV
- Handle complaint registration, tracking, and resolution in coordination with relevant internal teams
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional departments such as Engineering, Supply Chain, Quality, and order management to ensure timely issue resolution
- Possess and apply internal process knowledge, particularly related to material movement and logistics flow
- Use SAP for service-related transactions, material tracking, reports, and documentation
- Perform site visits, inspections, troubleshooting, commissioning, and service support activities as required
- Prepare service reports and technical documentation using MS Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Utilize Power BI for basic data analysis, reporting, and service performance tracking
- Ensure compliance with company safety, quality, and operational standards
- Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying process gaps and improvement opportunities
- Willingness to travel extensively to customer sites and project locations
Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience:
- A bachelor's degree or Diploma in electrical or mechanical Engineering.
- 4-8 Years Experience in high voltage products.
- Experience with electrical equipment, switchgears, High Voltage switchgear assembly, Monitoring and measuring equipment.
- Proficiency in both spoken & written English language is required
