• The position involves working on development of mechanical components and modules.
• Modelling in Creo and creating drawings as per organization guidelines & IEC standards
• Integrate the design in AGILE LCM system as per the organizational regulations
• Creation and release of assembly BOMs in AGILE system.
• Coordinate with other departments of organization during the process of developing mechanical items.
• Coordinate with vendors for development of components.
• Building proto assemblies for tests on modules.

Working experience of about 5+ years in R&D departments of large Electrical / HV switchgear manufacturing organizations is preferred

Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering is a must.

Technical Skills:

• Must have Handson experience of high voltage GIS technology as per IEC 62271-203.
• Design and development experiences in Disconnector, High-speed Earthing switch and other modules of GIS.
• Should be able to create 3D models of components & assemblies of complex shapes independently in Creo.
• Should be able to create & manage large assemblies in Creo.
• Creation of drawings, drafting and integrating with AGILE system.
• Should have sound knowledge of GD&T.
• Should be able to create and manage BOMs with AGILE system.
• Working knowledge mechanical design principles with standard components.
• Make Independent calculations (rigidity, strength, diameters, durability) to dimension parts and components
• Should have knowledge of manufacturing processes, Material & Quality inspection tools
• Working knowledge of ANSYS / other FEA tools.
• Conduct DFMEA and root cause analysis.
• Basic knowledge of cost-out / design to cost projects.
