Responsibilities

Act as the designated Labour Welfare Officer for the Coimbatore plant, ensuring compliance with applicable labour laws. Ensure statutory welfare facilities are available and maintained. Maintain statutory records and support inspections. Maintain strong shop-floor presence and employee connect. Identify early employee relations risks. Handle employee grievances fairly and timely with recommended countermeasure and follow through. Support disciplinary processes through fact-finding. Lead investigations while ensuring confidentiality. Manage contract labour welfare and compliance.
  • Support industrial harmony and workforce stability.
  • Identify recurring employee relations themes (discipline, absenteeism, conduct, communication

  • gaps, etc.) and recommend corrective and preventive actions.

    • Conduct targeted capability-building sessions for supervisors and frontline leaders to strengthen

    grievance handling, respectful workplace practices, and fair discipline.

    Ethical & Safe Workplace (POSH)

    • Ensure effective implementation of the Prevention of Sexual Harassment (POSH) framework at the

    Plant.

    • Support Internal Committee functioning, ensuring statutory timelines, documentation, and

    confidentiality.

    • Drive periodic awareness sessions for employees and supervisors to reinforce respectful workplace

    standards.

    • Monitor trends (if any) and recommend preventive interventions to strengthen workplace safety and

    inclusion.

    Essential

    Required Skills / Qualifications

    Bachelor’s degree in HR / IR / Labour Welfare or related field. 8–10 years plant-based ER or labour welfare experience. Strong knowledge of Indian labour laws. Experience managing shopfloor and contract labour.
  • High integrity and strong interpersonal skills.

  • Preferable

    Tamil Nadu manufacturing experience. Exposure to disciplinary enquiries and POSH.
  • Formal ER or labour welfare training.
