Full Stack Engineer (SDE 2) - Coimbatore

Role Overview: We are seeking a Full Stack Engineer with a strong backend focus to own the development and scaling of our core web applications. In this role, your time will be split roughly 70% backend and 30% frontend, making you the go-to engineer for building robust server-side logic, optimizing databases, and connecting them to clean, functional user interfaces. As an SDE 2, you will independently own features end-to-end, write high-quality code, and contribute to technical design discussions.

Key Responsibilities

• Backend Engineering (70%): Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services, robust API contracts (RESTful/GraphQL), and optimized database schemas to support high-traffic applications using NodeJs.
• Frontend Integration (30%): Build responsive, intuitive user interfaces using modern frontend frameworks, ensuring seamless integration with backend APIs using React JS.
• Feature Ownership: Drive the end-to-end implementation of product features from database design and server logic down to the user-facing UI elements.
• Collaboration & Design: Partner with Product Managers and Designers to understand feature requirements, break them down into technical tasks, and participate in system design discussions.
• Performance Optimization: Identify bottlenecks across the stack, focusing heavily on database query tuning, backend caching strategies, and efficient API payloads.
• Code Quality: Maintain high standards of code health through writing automated tests (unit, integration), participating in code reviews, and writing clear technical documentation.

Requirements

• Experience: 2–4 years of professional software development experience.
• Backend Expertise: At least 2 years of dedicated experience building scalable backend systems using languages such as Node.js, Python, Java, or Go. Strong knowledge of relational or non-relational databases.
• Frontend Proficiency: Working knowledge of modern JavaScript/TypeScript frameworks—specifically React—with the ability to build, modify, and style responsive web components.
• Execution Mindset: Proven ability to work independently on complex features, delivering clean, well-tested code with minimal supervision.
• Problem Solving: Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and software design principles.
• Tooling: Familiarity with modern development workflows, including Git, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud environments (AWS/GCP/Azure).

Nice to Have

• Experience working on B2B SaaS products.
• Familiarity with containerization (Docker) and microservices architecture.
• Basic understanding of state management libraries (e.g., Redux, Zustand) and frontend performance tuning.
• Exposure to infrastructure-as-code or basic DevOps tasks.
