NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK employing around 40,000 staff in a wide range of clinical and non-clinical professions and job roles. We deliver acute hospital, primary, community and mental health care services to a population of over 1.15 million and a wider population of 2.2 million when our regional and national services are included.

Shift pattern is Monday to Friday 09:00 to 17:00, consisting of 37 hours per week

Please be advised that, effective 1 April 2026, the full-time working hours for all Agenda for Change posts will be reduced to 36 hours.

To provide an effective administrative and clerical service in relation to the management of the return macula waiting list, the IVT waiting list and working with external partnership agencies to ensure the smooth running for the Ophthalmology service. Run reports and liaise with clinicians, nurses, AHP, patients, Community optometrists and managers.

Accurate input of patient details from clinical outcomes to the appropriate return waiting lists and prompt booking of return outpatient’s vacant capacity.

The post holder will be expected to work with the existing waiting list coordinators to implement and manage monitoring of the administrative systems.
