We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of VP- OPERATIONS BANGALORE
Principal Responsibilities
- Lead a 50+ strong team with 5-8 direct reports, depending on BAU footprint and projected growth
- Maintain and enhance the reputation of MSS for service delivery through effective and continual interaction with key clients and Country / GSC colleagues, providing technical input and feedback and deploying staff in the delivery of client service
- Ensure that all services provided to clients are appropriately positioned and executed. Monitor service quality feedback from clients, RMs and Operations against internal and external
- SLA agreements, ensuring effective follow-up to drive service quality issues and required improvements
- Own, develop and maintain KPIs and MIs to be used in driving client service quality improvements and efficiency initiatives
- Drive continued improvement towards Transfer Agency Operations’ global operating model.
- Assist in migration of more complex activities to Service Centre
- Ensure teams are trained to carry out the tasks in scope
- A bachelor’s degree or a professional qualification such as CIMA, CA, ACCA, CPA, etc.
- Very strong operational experience in the financial services industry working directly on one or more of the functional areas of Fund Administration, Transfer Agency, Global Custody, Investment Operations, Fund of funds, etc
- Good knowledge of Fund Services clients and products and associated regulations
- Management experience with exposure to business partners across multiple geographical locations
- Management experience with exposure to remuneration, performance management, team building and staff development.
- Demonstrates a solid grasp of the technology and systems supporting the product; Energetic, solution oriented team player and people motivator with a strong work ethic
- Personal qualities of stability, maturity and leadership aligned to HSBC core value and standards ; Strong communication skills - ability to communicate clearly, concisely and effectively in English, both oral and written
- Strong analytical skills, high attention to detail; Strong planning and organizational skills, with a proven ability to prioritize competing demands and communicate it effectively
- Change agent - Proven ability to execute and deliver change, within an operational context
- Effective leadership with requisite interpersonal skills necessary to direct and motivate a large team to achieve results
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain global and regional relationships at all business levels Strong collaborative management skills with the various stakeholders
