Job Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Team Lead to join our accounting department. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of Indian tax laws and compliance regulations. They will be responsible for leading/mentoring a team and ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our accounting operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Tax and Compliance Management:
• Oversee and manage all tax-related activities, including GST, TDS, and other statutory compliances.
• Ensure timely and accurate filing of tax returns and compliance with all applicable tax laws.
• Liaise with tax authorities and handle any tax-related inquiries or audits.
• Payroll Accounting:
• Oversee payroll accounting processes, including the preparation and posting of payroll journal entries.
• Ensure accurate and timely payroll reconciliations.
• Coordinate with the HR department to ensure accurate and compliant payroll operations
  
  

• Accounting and Financial Reporting:
• Ensure accurate and timely recording of all financial transactions.
• Prepare and review financial statements and reports.
• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts.
• Process Improvement:
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in accounting operations.
• Stay updated with changes in tax laws and regulations, and ensure the team is informed and compliant.
• Team Leadership:
• Lead and mentor a team of accounting professionals.
• Assign tasks, set goals, and monitor the team’s performance to ensure efficient and effective operation.
• Provide training
• to team members.
• Coordination and Collaboration:
• Coordinate with other departments to ensure seamless financial operations.
• Collaborate with external auditors and consultants as required.
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Professional qualification (CA Inter/Final) is preferred.
• Minimum of 7-8 years of experience in accounting, with a strong focus on Indian tax and compliance.
• Proven experience in managing and leading a team.
• In-depth knowledge of Indian tax laws, GST, TDS, and other statutory compliances.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in accounting software (NetSuite) and MS Office applications.
