To manage and support the Bank’s indirect tax compliance and litigation activities under GST by effectively handling correspondence, audits, inspections, and appeals across jurisdictions (PAN India). The role involves coordinating with GST consultants, conducting legal research, ensuring accurate documentation and reporting, and providing advisory support to internal teams and stakeholders. The position also contributes to process improvements, knowledge dissemination, and risk management through contingent liability assessments and system updates.

Job Purpose

The role involves coordinating with GST consultants, conducting legal research, ensuring accurate documentation and reporting, and providing advisory support to internal teams and stakeholders. The position also contributes to process improvements, knowledge dissemination, and risk management through contingent liability assessments and system updates.
Responsibilities
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Attending to correspondence received from GST Authorities.
- Drafting and filing reply to enquires conducted by jurisdiction authorities (PAN India), preparing reply to show cause notices issued by GST Authorities and drafting & filing of appeals (PAN India).
- Co-ordinating with GST Consultants of the Bank on enquiries made by GST Authorities and various appellate proceedings.
- Submission of information in connection with GST audit conducted by departmental authorities (PAN India).
- Peaceful conclusion of inspection, inquiry and assessments conducted by GST Authorities.
- Legal research on on-going GST litigation.
- Updating the cases pertaining to litigation on LMS portal and making sure that all the cases and relevant documents are available on the same.
- Preparation of Contingent Liability working
- Assistance in replying to queries of units/verticals.
- Assistance in reverting to the queries of vendors/customer from indirect tax perspective.
- Any other advisory related services to units / verticals.
- Guiding various teams on ISD related requirements and streamlining the existing process.
- Appraising internal tax team members on new updates in respect to amendment/circular/notification.
- Strong analytical skills including proficiency in MS excel.
