Job Purpose/ Summary

The Accounts Payable Team Lead is a managerial role within the Accounts Payable Department, responsible for overseeing the entire accounts payable process from invoice processing to vendor payments. The role includes managing GR/IR, vendor advance clearing, and reconciliation, and requires a strong understanding of SAP and Accounts Payable activities.

Job Description
Oversee and manage the daily operations of the accounts payable department, ensuring timely and accurate invoice processing, vendor payments, and clearing and reconciliation activities. Ensure timely (SLA-driven. and accurate processing of invoices and payments. Manage daily Goods Receipt Invoice Receipt (GRIR. processes in SAP to ensure that goods and invoices are properly recorded, reconciled, and paid. Perform debtor and creditor reconciliation tasks regularly to maintain accurate financial records. Lead, guide, and support the accounts payable team to ensure effective performance and achievement of department and company goals. Develop and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in the accounts payable process. Provide training and support to accounts payable team members to enhance their skills and knowledge. Handle escalated issues or disputes related to vendor payments or invoices. Work closely with other departments to ensure accurate and timely system reporting. Utilize SAP systems effectively for all accounts payable activities. Foster a customer-focused environment within the team to ensure high levels of service and satisfaction. Regularly review and analyze the company's GR/IR, vendor open advances, and clearing challenges, and identify opportunities for cost savings.Prepare and present MIS reports on accounts payable performance and initiatives to senior management. Maintain internal controls and conduct risk assessments. Travel may be required for vendor meetings or professional development. Identify and implement automation opportunities to streamline accounts payable processes.
