About the Team

The S&D vertical at Ninjacart is focused on the farm to retailer business of procuring from farmers and delivering to retailers - ensuring that farmers get paid the right price for their efforts and that retailers are able to get market quality produce delivered at their doorsteps. The last mile distribution is handled by our Distributor partners based out of our Micro Distribution Centres.

As a part of the team, you will be in charge of managing the entire Sales & Distribution for the assigned territory. For this, you will need to handle a team of Business Development Executives driving Tonnage, Customer Retention and key growth initiatives. You will have a dedicated Partner Success Manager who will work as a liaison to handle the Distributor Partners

responsible for handling the Last Mile Distribution, Cash Collection and Returns Liquidation. You will also have a dedicated Area Operations Manager who will assist you in handling the Last Mile Operations for the assigned territory.

Responsibilities

Ownership of the entire supply vertical for the city, managing the supply revenue of 3 Crores/ Week.

● Supply Planning & Growth: Research & analyze markets pan India to develop &

implement sourcing strategies and cost-effective buying decisions for various demand

scenarios. Work closely with the category team to achieve business level growth plans.

● P&L: Analyze costs involved to source supplies effectively and plan to reduce costs at various nodes to improve P&L for supply. Collaborate regularly with key stakeholders to

ensure margin goals & targets are consistently executed.

● Team Management: Hire, lead, develop & strengthen a team of individuals to achieve functional success. Define & implement metrics for monitoring and tracking KPIs across

the entire supply department. Design & implement incentive structures to improve

sourcing capabilities.

● Stakeholder management: Collaborate & partner with various internal teams & external stakeholders to influence & facilitate execution of sourcing strategies.

● 5 + years’ experience in Heading a relevant department – Procurement or Sales in FnV or E Commerce industry

● Tier 1/Tier 2 MBA experience is preferred

● Strong pitching, negotiation & solutioning skills.

● Strong understanding of the F&V category.

● Strategic thinking, analytical and problem-solving skills, people development & strong leadership & management skills.
