Software Engineer II

Bing Travel team (aka Microsoft Search in Bing) builds experiences and search solutions cater to our Travel customers to experience world best travel experience for exploring, planning, Booking etc. This role is for a SDE in Travel UX team. We're looking for folks that are excited about experiences that power the best of web Travel site competing with top 3 industry players, Bing SERP experiences and entry point experiences across Windows, MSN, Edge, Outlook and other canvases. Our ambition is to become a top 3 travel destination for all aspects of exploring destinations, planning a trip, booking flights, hotels, vacation packages, car rentals, cruises, trains, etc. and we are investing in all of these simultaneously and aggressively. Responsibilities

• Obsession about customer experience
• Design, develop, test and deploy scalable and always available services which deliver delightful and finely crafted user experiences on Bing.
• Design and develop responsive and visually appealing user interfaces using modern frontend technologies such as HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and relevant frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, Vue.js).
• Implement UX styling and design systems to maintain consistency and enhance usability across products.
• Collaborate with different teams across disciplines to achieve the above.
• Analyze risks and compromises with various design choices
• Solve problems relating to mission critical services and build automation to prevent problem recurrence
• Identify and fix or drive fixes for systemic issue.
  
  

Qualifications

Skills & Qualifications

• CS Degree or equivalent experience
• Excellent communications skills, verbal, written, and collaboration skills
• 4+ years development experience outstanding coding and design skills, problem solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent technical expertise with expertise on React/AngularJS/Web Components and CSS.
• Excellent software design and coding skills and understanding of OO concepts.
• Great analytical and problem-solving skills, with a strong bias for quality and engineering excellence.
• Ability to debug and resolve issues spanning multiple subsystems.
• Passion for new technologies, quality, and customer satisfaction
• Firm sense of accountability and ownership for end-to-end project lifecycle
• Experience with GIT.
• Experience of developing highly available and scalable Web service.
