Job Description
In your new role you will:
- Lead software development (including front-end, back-end and DevOps)for cloud native applications using microservice architecture.
- Manage the full lifecycle of code changes from development to deployment, including code reviews, testing and operations.
- Define code structure, standards etc. for the team and champion best practices.
- Identify opportunities on improving existing tools, frameworks and workflows.
- Establish robust monitoring and logging mechanisms using tools like Prometheus, ELK stack, proactively identify and address performance issues and security threats.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to DevOps engineers, empowering them to achieve excellence in their roles and contribute to the overall success of the team.
- Drive architectural decisions by collaborating with other functional and technical experts.
You are best equipped for this task if you have:
- 6 -10 years of relevant experience.
- Proven experience implementing distributed applications in a container environment (Docker/Kubernetes).
- Strong programming with Python, Golang or C/C++.
- Hands-on experience with Event Driven Architecture.
- Exposure to storage skills: NFS, Object Storage.
- Experience with Redhat Openshift will be a plus.
- Good experience with Alerting and Monitoring tools like Prometheus, Jager etc.
- Good experience with middleware like RabbitMQ, Kafka etc.
- Basic experience with big data solutions like Elastic.
- Basic experience with Analytical and Reporting solutions like Tableau, Grafana etc.
- Experience working in an Agile/Scrum-based environment.
