About This Team:

TIBCO’s Platform infrastructure group lays the foundation of the TIBCO Platform (https://www.tibco.com/platform).

This group provides processes and technologies required to effectively deliver, run and manage TIBCO products in/from the Cloud or on the customers’ environments.

This position is a truly awesome opportunity to work in a group of highly motivated and skilled team members. You will be exposed to the very latest cutting edge cloud technologies (e.g. Kubernetes, Docker, Helm, NodeJS, Angular etc) and Cloud providers such as AWS and Azure.

Role Overview

Senior Software Engineer (Backend) helps in owning, designing and implementing TIBCO Platform’s Control Plane.

Responsibilities

An ideal candidate is expected to:

• Own, drive, and evolve architectural pieces of the TIBCO Platform Control Plane backend infrastructure stack
• Be able to track requirements, design, prototype and adopting new technologies as required
• Work closely with the architects, security teams, product and program management as and when required to ensure timely delivery
• Work with a geographically distributed team of developers and mentor junior developers as appropriate
• Have a proven track record of debugging distributed systems
• Have previous exposure to Agile way of developing software
• Have excellent verbal and written communication skills
  
  

Qualifications

• Computer Engineering degree (BE/BTech, ME/MTech) from institutes like IITs, RECs preferred
• 4 to 6 years of relevant hands-on industry experience. Product development experience will be a plus.
• Working knowledge of UNIX is essential
• Hands-on in one or more languages: Golang , SQL, Shell scripting, Python. In exceptional cases Java language experience maybe considered, with amenability to work in Golang
• Proven record of designing and developing REST microservices and using best practices for REST design
• Previous experience with Docker and/or Kubernetes, Prometheus will be extremely helpful
• Working knowledge of Git / Github or any modern version control system and bug tracking systems such as JIRA
• Previous experience with AWS and/or Azure deployment will be a plus
