Key Responsibilities/ Job Description

• Prepare and adjust client-supplied artwork for gravure or flexo cylinder engraving.
• Perform image retouching, color correction, trapping, and step & repeat layout preparation.
• Generate color separations and ensure accurate file-to-plate/cylinder translation.
• Convert designs into engraving-ready formats (e.g., 1-bit TIFFs) using specialized prepress software (e.g., Esko, ArtPro, Adobe Suite, etc.).
• Apply distortion corrections for printing substrates (shrink sleeves, flexo wraparounds).
• Collaborate with engraving technicians to ensure compatibility with engraving machines (e.g., laser or electromechanical).
• Ensure compliance with print quality standards, resolution requirements, and customer specifications.
  
  

Maintain organized records of jobs, files, and revisions for traceability and reprints

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Proficiency in pre-press software (Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Esko ArtPro, ArtPro+, etc.).
• Understanding of gravure printing processes and engraving technologies.
• Strong knowledge of color theory, CMYK, spot colors, and ICC color profiles.
• Attention to detail and ability to detect and correct artwork issues.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and print specifications.
• Experience with RIP software and cylinder engraving workflows is an advantage.
• Diploma in Printing Technology or higher/ Also considered similar experience in the similar industry with Basic education qualifications.
