Responsibilities

Responsibilities

  • Ensure accurate and timely processing of end-to-end payroll for India and APAC countries while maintaining strict confidentiality of data along with continuously evaluating, analysing and streamlining payroll processes
  • Critical team member in helping ensure efficient end-to-end processes for the entire employee hire through retire lifecycle as it relates to payroll.
  • Drive process improvement and deliver scalable processes.
  • Ensure audit controls are strictly followed and identify any gaps.
  • Liaise with internal teams and external vendors as the payroll SME.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable legal and regulatory requirements, including tax filings, social security payments, and other required government contributions.
  • Respond to employees/internal queries.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to identify, design, and implement process improvements to streamline payroll processes, increase efficiency, and enhance the employee experience.
  • Work with HR, Finance, and other stakeholders to support various payroll-related initiatives, including new market expansion, year-end payroll reconciliations, tax reporting, and audits.
  • Keep up-to-date with changes in payroll regulations and requirements in India, and adjust processes accordingly.
  • Support various payroll projects.
  • Assist in payroll systems deployment.


Qualifications

Qualifications

  • 8 years+ payroll experience, including global payrolls.
  • Extensive payroll experience with large and complex payrolls.
  • Strong knowledge in Payroll laws and regulations.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to build strong relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Critical thinker and strong problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Strong organisational, people & time management skills.
  • Proven track record delivering payroll projects of all sizes.
  • Experience with payroll system implementations - either in-house or outsourced.
  • Applicant should be tech-savvy. Workday and Jira experience a plus ideal.
