Senior Manager - Internal Communications

Are you passionate about crafting compelling stories that connect people and drive business success? As the IMEA Internal Communications Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and delivering internal communication initiatives / campaigns that inspire and engage our diverse teams across India, the Middle East, and Africa. Reporting to the IMEA Internal Communications Leader, you will collaborate closely with senior leaders including the CEO, Business Presidents, Marketing and Communications Leader, Chief Commercial Officer, HR Leader, Practice Leaders, and the regional and global Marketing & Communications teams, to ensure that key messages resonate locally and support our business growth priorities.

You will be the bridge between global priorities and local activation, tailoring communications to meet the unique needs of our audiences. Your creativity, inquisitive mindset, and collaborative spirit will help foster a culture of transparency, engagement, and alignment across the region.

What can you expect?

  • Implement Communication Strategies (30%) Bring Marsh McLennan’s vision and priorities to life by executing targeted internal communication plans. Identify key audiences, craft clear and impactful messages, and select the best channels to ensure information reaches and resonates with colleagues effectively.
  • Create Engaging Content (30%) Develop compelling and informative content for a variety of internal platforms including newsletters, intranet, emails, and social media. Ensure all communications reflect our values, culture, and brand voice consistently.
  • Analyse and Report on Communication Impact (10%) Collect and interpret data on communication effectiveness, colleague feedback, and engagement metrics. Use insights to continuously refine strategies and demonstrate the value of internal communications.
  • Drive Colleague Engagement (15%) Design and implement initiatives that boost employee engagement and promote a positive workplace culture. This includes organising events, conducting surveys, and creating feedback loops to understand and respond to colleague needs.
  • Support Change Communications (15%) Play a key role in managing communications during organisational changes. Ensure colleagues are well-informed, understand the impact, and feel supported throughout transitions to maintain morale and engagement.

  • Project Management: Manage multiple projects, dedicating approximately 20% of time to project coordination
  • Regional Focus: India, Middle East, and Africa (IMEA)

What you need to have:

  • Eager to challenge the status quo by using AI and innovative tools to improve internal communications and engagement.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex information for diverse audiences
  • Proficiency with digital communication tools such as email marketing platforms, intranet systems, and social media
  • Strong organizational skills with a disciplined, deadline-driven approach
  • Analytical mindset with experience measuring communication effectiveness and making data-driven recommendations
  • Excellent relationship-building skills and ability to collaborate across functions and cultures
  • Experience in change management communications, helping employees navigate transitions smoothly
  • Adaptable and comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic global environment
  • 7-10 years of experience in internal communications or a related role
  • Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications, or related field is a plus
