Roles & Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the product engineering team, ensuring alignment with the company’s goals and objectives. The role ensures technical excellence, cost-effective engineering, and customer-centric solutions to support business growth.
- Ensure Right First-Time of Engineering releases. Review and approval of engineering drawings and Bill of Material for Air Pollution Control equipment's such as Bag filters, ESPs, RABH.
- Oversee the planning, design, engineering execution and completion.
- Establish and maintain project timelines, weight/cost budgets, and resources, ensuring projects are delivered on schedule and within financial constraints.
- Monitor project progress, resolve issues, and implement corrective actions when necessary to meet project milestones and deadlines.
- Manage relationships with clients, contractors, and external vendors to ensure the successful execution of engineering projects.
- Collaborate with proposal team for preorder support for competitive techno-commercial proposal.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, cost efficiency and customer orientation.
- Planning and implementation of improvement projects such as Digitalization, Opex, Design Cycle time reduction, Product & Component development etc.
- Build technical capability of the engineering team. Mentor and coach team members.
- Strong technical knowledge about design of Air Pollution Control equipment, Material Handling Equipment's, Process Equipment's, Heat Exchangers, Boilers, Etc.
- Working Knowledge of ERP Systems and Teamcenter PLM.
- Knowledge of relevant standards (IS, BIS, ASME, ASTM etc.)
- Excellent leadership, decision-making skills, team management, and interpersonal skills.
- Experience working with customer/consultant front and cross-functional teams, including procurement, operations, finance.
