Are you excited about technical sales and enjoy having a close contact with customers? Are you eager to join a professional sales team that collaborate with other departments to exceed customer expectations within the Industrial division? Then we have an interesting position in Grundfos to cover the entire Pan India.

The primary responsibility of the Sales Developer is to develop and implement sales strategies for Grundfos' new Variable Frequency Drives within the Industry Division across India, supporting in achieving sales targets by creating sales tools, clarifying product values with customers, and training dealers and internal sales teams on value-based selling.

What is the job about?

Overall, your tasks will cover:

  • Develop and execute tactical sales plans and activities in line with the overall sales strategy for the Industry Division and assist in budget preparation for sales development and marketing activities.
  • Achieve assigned targets, KPIs for Variable Frequency Drives across India by identifying and pursuing new business opportunities and maintaining existing customer relationships.
  • Develop and maintain key accounts and dealers within the assigned territory, ensuring strong customer relationships and satisfaction.
  • Conduct specialized training on Variable Frequency Drives and their applications for customers, consultants, dealers, and internal sales teams to enhance product knowledge and value-based selling techniques.
  • Provide expert advice to customers, consultants, dealers, and contractors on product performance, new products, product modifications, system solutions, applications, terms of sales, service, replacement, and spare parts.
  • Register and nurture opportunities in the global CRM tool according to company guidelines, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records of sales activities and customer interactions.
  • Visit and educate industrial companies on the value propositions and customer benefits of Variable Frequency Drives, promoting their adoption and usage.
  • Build and maintain a knowledge base of key competitors' Variable Frequency Drives and analyze competitive tactics to develop effective counter-strategies.
  • Support other tasks assigned by the line manager, contributing to the overall success of the sales team and the Industry Division

Your Background

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering with at least 5-8 years of experience as a frontline salesman or business developer in the field of automation (e.g., VFD, PLC, or Controller) or pump industrial products.
  • Proven experience in independently managing key accounts and developing new customers and partners.
  • Customer relationships in industrial companies, particularly within the water sector, are a plus.
  • Strong understanding of Variable Frequency Drives and their applications.
  • Good communication skills in English.
  • Strong market development capabilities and result-driven mindset.
