Safety Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement and maintain company-wide HSE policies and procedures at sites and fabrication yards.

• Conduct regular safety audits, hazard assessments, and site inspections.

• Ensure compliance with applicable safety regulations (OSHA, IS codes, local laws).

• Deliver safety induction, toolbox talks, and regular training to workers and subcontractors.

• Investigate incidents/accidents and recommend corrective/preventive actions.

• Monitor site conditions for safe working at height, crane operations, welding, and rigging activities.

• Enforce proper use of PPE and promote a safety-first culture among the workforce.

• Maintain safety logs, permits, incident reports, and statutory documentation.

• Coordinate with site engineers and project managers to integrate safety into project planning.

• Lead emergency drills and ensure fire and first aid preparedness.

Key Skills & Competencies:

• In-depth knowledge of safety protocols in PEB erection and steel fabrication.

• Familiar with HIRA, JSA, LOTO, and confined space safety.

• Strong communication and leadership skills for influencing worker behavior.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office and digital safety management tools.

• Ability to handle audits and inspections by clients and government bodies.safety 

Qualifications:• Diploma or Degree in Engineering (Civil/Mechanical preferred)

• Diploma in Industrial Safety (Mandatory)

• NEBOSH / IOSH Certification (Preferred)

• Minimum 4-8 years of relevant experience in the PEB / Structural Steel industry
