The Quality Control Head is responsible for overseeing the quality assurance and quality control processes in construction projects. This role involves developing, implementing, and maintaining a quality management system to ensure that construction activities comply with industry standards, regulations, and client requirements.

Job Description

• Develop, implement, and maintain the QMS to ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and client specifications.
• Establish quality objectives, policies, and procedures.
• Supervise and coordinate inspection and testing activities to ensure materials, structures, and construction activities meet quality standards.
• Conduct regular site inspections and audits to monitor compliance with quality
• Maintain accurate and detailed records of inspection results, non-conformance reports, and corrective actions.
• Prepare quality reports and presentations for management and clients.
• Identify, document, and manage non- conformances.
• Develop and implement corrective and preventive action plans to address quality issues.
• Train and mentor staff on quality standards, procedures, and best practices.
• Promote a culture of continuous improvement and quality awareness within the organization.
• Evaluate and approve suppliers and subcontractors based on their quality performance.
• Monitor and assess the quality of work performed by subcontractors.
• Ensure that construction activities comply with relevant building codes, safety regulations, and environmental standards.
• Stay updated on industry standards, regulations, and best practices..
• Communicate effectively with clients regarding quality issues, concerns, and progress.
• Ensure client satisfaction by delivering high-quality construction projects.
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.
• Professional certifications such as Certified Quality Engineer (CQE), Project Management Professional (PMP), or similar are advantageous.
• Minimum of 15 years of experience in quality control/assurance in the construction industry.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Strong leadership and team management abilities.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
