Job Summary:

The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of experience in developing/scripting automated functional tests.

Primary Responsibilities

This QA Engineer I position will work in the Infrastructure Engineering delivery engineering team and will be responsible for designing and implementing automation and manual tests for testing Jenkins pipelines and AWS based Infrastructure.

• Testing infrastructure as code components to make sure the impact of the IaC changes do not affect the existing systems or functionality
• Writing unit/integration/service level tests to verify behavior of infrastructure impacted by the IaC changes.
• Contribute to the IaC testing framework, IaC testing approach and the process.
• Managing infrastructure changes in internal and production environments to make sure they meet the resiliency expectations.
• Managing the releases of IaC components made by the IaC developers.
• Understanding the impact of the IaC changes without being able to refer to a tangible application under test.
• Participating in IaC technical design conversations and planning meetings.
  
  

Mandatory Skills

• Bachelor in Engineering (B.E./ B.Tech Degree) with 2+ years of experience in developing/scripting automated functional tests.
• Basic Javascript knowledge.
• Right mindset about learning a complex system with many workflows.
• Fast learner.
• Good critical thinking abilities.
• Thrive in a fast paced environment with many challenges.
• Testing a system not a single application 8. Communicating effectively to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  
  

Good To Have

• Basic knowledge of some testing framework like mocha, cypress, playwright (Optional)
• Kubernetes and Jenkins
  
  

What will you learn on this job?

Taking full ownership of Infrastructure testing. Monitoring Jenkins pipelines and adding automation tests.

Designation: QA Engineer 1

Working Hours: 1:00 PM to 10:00 PM IST and 3:00 PM to 12:00 AM IST.

Work Location: Ecoworld, Bengaluru
