The Role: QA Automation Engineer

As a QA Automation Engineer (RMM) at Kaseya, you will be a key member of our quality assurance team, specializing in the automation of testing processes for our Remote Monitoring and Management (RMM) solutions. You will be working on QA for the Datto RMM product with a focus on automation QA. Your expertise in test automation, scripting, and test frameworks will play a critical role in ensuring the high-quality and reliability of our cutting-edge IT management products.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Collaborate with Product Managers, Developers, and QA team members to understand product features and requirements

Design, develop, and implement automated test frameworks

Identify opportunities to expand test coverage and improve automation frameworks

Investigate test failures, troubleshoot issues, and report defects clearly and accurately

Document and communicate test results, contributing to overall quality metrics

Use approved AI tools for creating, executing, and reporting test results.

Participate in release processes and ensure quality standards are met for assigned projects

Essential Qualifications:

4+ years experience building QA automation

Expertise in programming languages such as Python, Java, JavaScript, or C#

Expertise with version control systems like GitHub, GitLab, or similar

Experience using automated test frameworks (e.g. Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright)

Experience testing APIs (REST, GraphQL) using tools like Postman, ReadyAPI, SoapUI, or PyTest

Experience automating testing in SaaS environments

Proven ability to build, execute, and maintain automated test scripts

Expertise with CI/CD pipelines and automation in development workflows

Strong skills in analysing test results and reporting automation outcomes

Experience with tools like JIRA, Confluence, and Zephyr Scale (or equivalents)

Working knowledge of multiple operating systems, including Windows, macOS, and Linux

Proficient in utilizing JIRA and actively participating in Agile methodologies, including Scrum and Kanban frameworks.

Good communication and a proactive, collaborative mindset

Desirable Skills:

Formal testing certifications (e.g. ISTQB)

Awareness of security best practices in software testing

Understanding of networking and network protocols

Knowledge of code optimization using AI tools such as GitHub Copilot
