About the Role
As a Project Manager , you will work in conjunction with Project Managers (Leaders) to contribute to the management of cross-functional programs resulting in high quality, robust deliverables required for effective program planning and execution including:
- Integrated Project Timelines
- Risk Management Plans
- Project communication tools
- Portfolio assessment and management
- Budget development and tracking
Responsibilities:
- Develop documentation, communication tools enabling the identification of issues and misalignments on project execution.
- Identify inefficiencies in project execution and collaborate with team members to establish and implement process improvements.
- Create and use existing tools for managing projects, including dashboards and project specific performance metrics and apply effective project management principles, processes, and tools to enable project success.
- Create, edit, and ensure accuracy of data for project presentations and reports; when appropriate, present data.
- Independently manage small projects within the program under project leader supervision.
- Schedule project team meetings and develop meeting agendas. Lead project team meetings for routine operations, take minutes and ensure follow-up of action items from the minutes. Prepare presentations as needed.
- Organize efficient information flow within the project team, which can be spread across different R&D hubs/countries.
- Provide the global cross-functional project team with project management expertise and ensure project team members are fulfilling their tasks efficiently.
- Demonstrate the growing ability to lead/motivate teams to reach challenging objectives.
- In collaboration with the Project Planner establish and maintain a project plan that depicts the activities in line with the approved global development strategy as documented in the integrated Development Plan (iDP).
- Lead and contribute to development and execution of cross-business initiatives and processes.
- Analyze factual information and possible solutions and makes independent judgments, decisions and recommendations.
- Support the analysis and overviews of the project(s) budget collaboration with the project leader and project controller.
- Responsible for a cost-effective approach to development plan activities.
Who You Are:
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a Scientific discipline with 6+ years’ experience in pharmaceutical, biopharmaceutical or medical device industry OR
- Master’s degree in a Scientific discipline with 4+ years’ experience in pharmaceutical, biopharmaceutical or medical device industry
- 1+ year experience in the drug development process
Preferred Qualifications:
- Project Management training, certification of qualification (e.g. PMI, IPMA)
- Experience working in a globally matrix organization
- Collaborative and relationship building skills
- Excellent organizational, time management and facilitation skills
- Problem solving and analytical skills
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
