TITLE: Product Owner

DEPARTMENT: Digital Product Management

LOCATION: Bangalore, India

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Product Owner prioritizes and leads all facets (concept to delivery) of highly complex and integrated

digital/interactive product delivery. This role coordinates with key stakeholders, including marketing,

merchandise planning, finance, digital merchandisers, digital creative production, and customer care

services. This person demonstrates strong business leadership, technology acumen, and an ability

provide the appropriate level of influence at all levels. This person has proven digital commerce vision,

strategy, and execution across multiple channels (desktop, mobile, tablet, apps).

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Establish Product vision and benchmarks
  • Maintain a detailed understanding of e-commerce systems, data, processes, and the

customer experiences they drive

  • Maintain competitive and marketplace awareness via research, patterning, and 3rd
  • party

analysis of current best-in-class and emerging/advanced techniques, within and beyond

specialty retail

  • Partner with UX research and Customer Care to understand the Product from the

customer POV; identify key pain points and experience opportunities; ensure insights

are carefully considered in prioritization

  • Collaborate with brands to maximize leverage and testing of capabilities; share best

practices for growing sales/profitability

  • Ensure quality, compliance, and performance, manage technical debt, and ensure rapid

response to customer or business issues

  • Identify trends and product offerings which could further support the growth of an

unparalleled customer experience

  • Lead Product team
  • Prioritize team efforts to ensure focus on the highest-value work
  • Foster strong collaboration between product management, UX design, and

development team members, while effectively managing relationships with

stakeholders and internal/external partners

  • Manage Product Analyst, ensuring consistent and coordinated execution of Lean/Agile

workflows, from backlog creation and grooming to UX research/prototyping,

development, testing, deployment, analysis, and iteration

  • Drive continuous learning & improvement; develop product dashboards and diagnostics,

set KPI targets and leverage analytics to iterate and test in pursuit of defined outcomes

  • Facilitate clear communication of product requirements to all members of the product

team, and ensure Acceptance Criteria accurately reflect intended functionality

  • Ensure adherence to best practices
  • Collaborate with other Product Owners and teams to unlock dependencies and

effectively leverage shared data, systems, and services

  • Communicate and coordinate with stakeholders to ensure alignment of objectives
  • Ensure team members maintain a current understanding of relevant business and

customer trends and pain points

  • Train, coach, and evangelize Lean disciplines to minimize waste and maximize speed of

value to customer/business: user-centric design, Design thinking, MVP and iteration,

Agile Development, etc.

  • Continuously evolve and optimize processes and standards to build speed, quality,

agility, and flexibility

  • Ensure A/B testing executed for applicable enhancements, and drive team financial

accountability for results

  • Issue Triage and Resolution
  • Ensure digital product is operational and meets service level agreements (SLAs).
  • Ensure product team is monitoring systems, communicate performance against SLAs

and manage all product issues.

  • Prioritize issues and ensure team triages and addresses issues in a timely manner

VS&Co provides a range of compensation for this role as shown. Your actual salary will be determined by a number of factors, including: your specific skills and experience, geographic region, or other relevant factors.

Qualifications

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field
  • 8+ years’ experience in digital product management, ideally with a marketing or commerce

focus

  • 5+ years in team management role
