Product Architect - Electromechanical (Low Voltage Control and Switchgear)
Position Objective
The Product Architect will be responsible for defining and driving the technical roadmap, architecture, and system-level design of low voltage control and switchgear products. This role requires deep domain expertise in electromechanical systems, a strong understanding of global standards, and the ability to innovative, manufacturable, and cost-effective product solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Define product architecture and system-level design for low voltage electromechanical control and protection devices such as contactors, relays, MPCBs, and motor starters.
- Lead technical strategy and innovation
- Ensure compliance with international standards (IEC, UL, CSA, ISO) and regulatory requirements throughout the product lifecycle.
- Guide cross-functional teams through concept development, feasibility studies, prototyping, and design validation.
- Drive standardization, modularity, and reuse across product lines to optimize cost, quality, and time-to-market.
- Evaluate and select materials, components, and manufacturing processes suitable for high-performance and reliable operation.
- Conduct design reviews, risk assessments (FMEA), and ensure robust design practices (DFM/DFA, tolerance stack-up, etc.).
- Interface with suppliers and manufacturing partners to ensure design intent is maintained through production.
- Stay abreast of emerging technologies, industry trends, and competitive landscape to inform product strategy.
