Principal Engineer - Piping

Job Description

The incumbent will be responsible for the following listed activities:

• Carrying out various piping activities and Pipe stress Analysis, preparation of deliverables as identified in the Functional Competencies as necessary on their appointed project
• Signing drawings and documents as originator in accordance with correct procedures
• Ensuring engineering and design quality, technical accuracy of drawings, material quantities etc
• Execution of assigned work in accordance with applicable contract procedures and client and projects standards
• Adhering to company’s engineering procedures for design safety and adopting safe attitudes towards engineering design and raising features affecting the safety and integrity of the project with appropriate authorities
• Correct implementation of all piping CAD and system related functions in their appointed area
  
  

Responsibilities

• B.E (Mechanical) with relevant years of experience in Pipe Stress Analysis.
• Familiar with functioning and requirements of Pipe and plant design group having main strength in at least one area of piping design discipline.
• Has worked with similar consulting companies or related industries on a project and/ has gained a solid foundation from a recognised industry on-job training course of at least two-year duration.
• Has experience in assisting to produce common piping deliverables including plot plans, isometrics, 3D models and other basic drawings required for an engineering project.
