Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Managerial Responsibilities (30%) :
  • Oversee and guide small plants/sites in their journey towards Operations Excellence.
  • Coach and support business leaders and functional members to identify real issues and opportunities.
  • Develop prioritized improvement initiatives and coach through to successful implementation.
  • Coordinate the creation of plant maturity goals in collaboration with business leaders and end-to-end process owners.
  • Execute the Corporate Operations Excellence Strategy and roadmap to achieve plant maturity goals.
  • General Responsibilities (70%) :
  • Apply knowledge of Operations Excellence principles and practices as they are applied to Cummins.
  • Utilize continuous improvement tools and follow Cummins Operations Excellence standards.
  • Lead the development of manufacturing standards and working methods.
  • Communicate with and influence key stakeholders, business leaders, and functional members.
  • Maintain relationships and coach key stakeholders.
  • Work alongside end-to-end process owners and operations excellence peers to prioritize continuous improvement efforts.
  • Lead projects in a cross-functional environment.
  • Provide solutions for complex manufacturing issues across the Cummins network.
  • Contribute to measurable and significant improvements.
  • Participate in knowledge sharing to develop plant subject-matter expertise in one or more functions.
  • Champion and lead continuous and step-change improvement.

Education, Licenses, Certifications

  • College, university, or equivalent degree, or equivalent practical experience required.
  • This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.

Qualifications

Experience:

  • Mechanical/Industrial Engineering Graduate with 5-10 years of experience in Operations Excellence, Industrial Engineering, I4.0, or Automation Project Domain.
  • Intermediate level of relevant work experience, including manufacturing or manufacturing plant experience, and team leadership experience preferred.
