Network Security Engineer - Firewall

Job Description We are seeking a skilled Network Security Engineer to join our dynamic team in Chennai. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in network security practices and technologies, ensuring the protection of our network infrastructure and data. Key Responsibilities Monitor and analyze network traffic for security threats and vulnerabilities. Implement and manage security measures to safeguard the network and data. Conduct regular security audits and risk assessments. Configure and maintain firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and other security devices. Respond to and investigate security incidents and breaches. Collaborate with IT teams to ensure compliance with security policies and best practices. Stay updated with the latest security trends, threats, and technology solutions. Develop and maintain documentation for network security procedures and protocols. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Minimum of 3 years of experience in network security. Strong understanding of network protocols, firewalls, VPNs, and IDS/IPS. Experience with security tools and technologies (e.g., SIEM, antivirus, anti-malware). Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CEH, CompTIA Security+) are a plus. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities. Preferred Skills Experience with cloud security practices. Familiarity with regulatory compliance standards (e.g., ISO 27001, PCI DSS).
