Job Description

you’ll be our: Material Planner

you’ll be based at: Hosur Factory, Tamil Nadu

you’ll be Aligned with: Material Planner - Spares part management

you’ll be a member of: Central Planning

What you’ll do at Ather:

• Driving the equilibrium between Inventory Planning & spares dealer order fulfillment in consultation with the Supply Operations division of the organization.
• Be able to understand, calculate and manage multiple risks (Domestic/ Global, Internal/ External) with respect to Material Planning to minimize the VOR order impact of material management on supply, sales & operations plan.
• Major KPI is to ensure the material availability for dealer orders and maintaining safety stock level of all the SKUs.
• Able to understand the PAN INDIA consumption trend of all the spares SKUs.
• Should be able to create the monthly delivery schedules via SAP and troubleshooting of errors.
• Minimize exposure to excess and obsolete stock.
• Able to handle the engineering change implementation in the Material Planning function.
• Actively contribute to the development and support of material planning processes and benchmark against best practices in the industry.
• Continuous improvements in sync with the Sourcing, service and customer quality.
• Be in sync with all the stakeholders across verticals as well as across horizontals(CFT) for smooth functioning of the Material Planning.
• Should be proactive and good in communication to avoid the gap in material availability and flow to dealers
  
  

Here’s what we are looking for:

• Proficiency of working on SAP.
• Prior experience of Planning, Inventory Management and Analytics from the manufacturing industry.
• Proficiency of Bill of Materials, master data management and exposure of Material Requirement Planning (MRP).
• Should have a knowledge of Advance Excel, Google sheets.
• Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills
• Able to do the troubleshooting.
  
  

You bring to Ather:

• B.E/B.Tech in Automobile Engineering or Mechanical engineering
• 2-4 years of hands-on experience on Material Planning and Inventory Control.
