Job Purpose
Media management is one of the most crucial functions of Corporate Communications. Efficient Media management can enhance the image of the company and provide the right perspective of the company’s strategies and developmental plan to people at large. The action needs lot of analysis and study basis the current environ around. DIAL is involved in multi-pronged aviation business activities. The incumbent needs to have clear concept and understanding of the business, media and stakeholder management, monitor trends of news and deploy accordingly. The person should also have proficiency in English language and flair in writing for business communications, projecting the strengths of the business and underplaying the weaknesses as and when required.

Media Strategy:
Develop comprehensive media strategy across medium
Maintain and review periodical (monthly/ quarterly/ yearly) calendar for implementation
Media Management:
Regular media visits
Gather media intelligence
Entertain media personnel
Regularly update media representative about the developments
Press Conferences/Press Meet/Media Visits to Project Launches:
Plan & Strategies press conference/Press Meets/Media visits etc.
Appraise the Sr management on the plan and take approvals
Media Release/ whitepaper/ story pointers:
Draft media release
Check and provide inputs/direction on releases
Take necessary approvals from CEO/Gr Head CC/BCMO/GCMO as per SOP
ensure maximum coverage
Plan Media Interaction:
Plan and review yearly calendar for interaction of Sr Management with media
Take approval from Sr. Management for interaction as per calendar
Review talking points for Sr Management/DIAL/GMR Group Spokesperson
Facilitate/moderate interaction
Media Analysis:
Review reports on news analysis (newspaper, magazines, online etc.),
Analyze news trends and strategies stories
Competition mapping
Production of report

EDUCATION QUALIFICATIONS
Masters/PGD in Journalism/Media Communication/Marketing/Public Relations from a reputed institute (Hons in English is preferable)
