The D. E. Shaw group is seeking a highly organized, proactive, and strategic individual to join our firm’s office in Hyderabad, India and lead the team in India that supports senior principals and executives in our New York office. This role involves overseeing a team that provides critical support to senior principals and executives in our New York office. The manager will ensure operational efficiency, maintain high service standards, and act as a key liaison between the India team and New York leadership.
WHAT YOU'LL DO DAY-TO-DAY:
You will lead, mentor, and develop the team, ensuring optimal performance, professional growth, and alignment with business priorities. You will serve as the point of contact for India team and senior stakeholders in New York, proactively addressing challenges and driving solutions. Additionally, you will identify and implement efficiencies to enhance the team’s effectiveness, including workflow optimizations, technology enhancements, and performance tracking. You will be responsible for maintaining high standards of accuracy, discretion, and professionalism in all administrative support functions. Lastly, you will work closely with senior leadership to align the team’s objectives with broader group goals. This position requires working New York business hours.

WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR:
Basic qualifications:
- The qualities of a results-driven leader with an exceptional background in managing high-performing administrative or operations teams, preferably in a global, fast-paced environment
- At least 7 years of relevant experience, including people management and direct stakeholder interaction
- Exceptional communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to anticipate needs and drive proactive solutions
- Excellent business acumen, a strategic mindset, and the ability to build relationships across geographies and cultures
- A bachelor’s degree, along with proven mastery of Microsoft Office (particularly Outlook and Excel)
