NOV Rig - Aftermarket is recruiting a Logistics Coordinator to join our team at Navi-Mumbai location. Primary responsibilities of this role include:

Primary Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with regional inventory holding locations to determine documentation requirements for the importation process.
  • Coordinate with local customs clearing personnel to provide documentation to prepare importation documentation such as essentiality certificates and contracts.
  • Ensure all the local and company corporate customs compliance requirements/policies are adhered.
  • Provide import duty details to the billing department to support the invoicing process.
  • Comply with local regulations, API, and ISO standard requirements.
  • Participate in API, ISO, and government audits as an NOV representative.
  • Coordinate logistics processes for domestic and international inbound and outbound shipments and continuously improve processes to tap into cost-reduction opportunities.
  • Assist in coordinating with customers, freight forwarders, customs authorities, importation agents, and compliance teams to submit and process all types of documentation, such as commercial invoices, negotiation records, landing cost calculations, and essentiality and exemption certificates.
  • Review applicable import and export documentation, including customs clearance and duty payments.
  • Receive and visually inspect the delivery of goods.
  • Stow away goods on the inventory racks, assign locations based on availability, and make ERP updates.
  • Notify production teams when goods arrive from outside vendor processing and customers.
  • Retrieve goods from warehouse locations according to picklists provided by production teams and deliver them to requested shop floor locations.
  • Keep the warehouse and shipping-receiving locations organized according to the established warehouse management protocols.
  • Create shipping documents and coordinate equipment collection process.
  • Assist warehouse coordinator and trade & customs analyst as required.

Education & Experience Qualifications

  • Highschool education with 5 or more years of logistics, distribution and transportation experience OR
  • Associate degree or diploma (3-year degree) with 3 years of logistics, distribution and transportation experience
  • Logistics, transportation, and distribution experience in domestic and international settings

Technical Competencies

  • Working knowledge of ERP systems and MS Office Suite
  • Working knowledge of importation, logistics, and transportation processes
  • Transportation fundamentals, including cost structure, stakeholders, capabilities, carrier types, and mode classifications.
  • Working knowledge of warehouse functions
  • Working knowledge of material handling equipment/vehicles such as forklifts
  • Basic knowledge of Inco Terms, L/C documentation, customs duty/ tariffs
  • Basic knowledge of international trade regulations and customs processes
