In this role, you will be responsible for supervising movement of materials from supplier to 3PL vendor and to ARMSTRONG manufacturing plants across the globe by establishing right processes and working closely with 3PL vendor in implementing them. This role is also responsible in closely working with Government authorities in ensuring the compliance/documentations required for export of goods either by doing the following in person or through 3PL employees :
Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily warehouse operations, ensuring smooth receipt, storage, and timely dispatch of goods.
Conduct regular stock audits to ensure proper packing, labeling, and reconcile physical inventory with system records.
Prepare and maintain accurate records of warehouse activities, inventory levels, shipment tracking, and any discrepancies.
- Prepare the required shipping documentation for all export shipments.
- Transmit export declarations as needed
- Organize and arrange the transmission and filing of import and export related documentation
- Ensure for proper coordination with logistics providers and provide reports
- Update ERP, logistics and shipping software data as needed
- Work closely with Hub Customer Service to ensure for compliance and timely shipments
- Provide assistance to Armstrong logistics departments with inter-company and inventory activities
- Attend logistics meetings - participate in team decisions and operations
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure that warehouse operations align with broader logistics strategies
- Assist with various projects and assignments as required
What We’re Looking For
To thrive in this role, you should bring:
- Over 5 years of experience in export administration
- A university degree in Commerce / International Trade
- Knowledgeable with warehouse logistics, courier, ocean, air and ground freight transportation modes
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Able to multi-task and work with minimum supervision in a fast-paced environment
- Customer service focused with strong attention to detail
- Experienced with MS Office, ERP and shipping software
- Self-starter and results-oriented with a strong and positive business outlook
