Frigate is a cloud-based manufacturing startup that provides on-demand manufacturing services to OEM/ODM and product/device companies, helping them identify the right manufacturing vendors and leveraging their existing capacities to get their products manufactured.
IMPORTANT - We are only looking for full-time interns who can spend 6+ months on this internship. Should have basic knowledge on the industry
Job brief for Supply chain intern
Supply chain management (SCM) interns are responsible for performing various tasks related to SCM. The typical duties they perform include conducting quality audits, assisting with developing process controls, creating training documents, and providing assistance in the development and implementation of a material requirement planning system. As an SCM intern, you are expected to work closely with the supply chain manager to ensure the smooth and efficient day-to-day operations of the supply chain. You are also expected to assist in analyzing data related to business operations.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate with logistics partners to track and ensure smooth movement of goods.
Co-ordinate between different departments to ensure alignment on project timelines and deliverables.
Ensure timely receipt of offers and maintain proper documentation and communication records.
Track and escalate any delays in supplier communication or deliverables.
Maintain and update the vendor database in compliance with ISO 9001 standards.
Assist in vendor onboarding activities, ensuring all documentation and due diligence are complete.
Conduct periodic audits of vendor profiles and documentation for accuracy and completeness.
Co-ordinate and follow up with the vendors to get the quote on time.
Ensure real-time visibility of project milestones and flag any deviations.
Assist in improving digital tracking processes and reporting tools.
Requirements
Strong communication (both verbal & written) and organizational skills are mandatory
Excellent prioritization and organizational skills, with excitement for the idea of managing multiple responsibilities in parallel
Should be detail-oriented problem-solvers who are able to employ leadership, critical thinking, and time management skills
Should welcome iterative approaches to problem-solving while being capable of building general solution frameworks for common problems
Should have some understanding of technical aspects (APIs, SDKs, etc.) in order to efficiently structure & update technical documentation
For this role to succeed, you must possess the following characteristics:
