Role Definition

Junior Interior Designer is the one who is responsible for designing, and making working drawings to complete Design Legends Group projects in timely and efficient manner.

Tasks & Activities

Designing

• Collaborate with senior interior designers to develop architectural designs, considering.
• Depending upon client memo, start with searching for reference photos of similar style, scale, and budget.
• Using these reference photos, create design proposal for the whole project.
• After discussion with lead I.D, create proposal for color palette, materials and furniture styles and colors.
• Finalize design concept, color pallet, materials and furniture styles and colors with discussions with lead I.D.
• Make 3D model based on the above memo.
• Make proposal for materials in the 3d.
• Send it to the rendering team for 3d render.
  
  

File Completion And Documentation

• Make working drawings as given in list of drawings for interior annexure.
• Arrange the drawings according to the sample interiors file.
• Issue the file.
• Prepare and maintain all the documentation including design drawings, specifications, and meeting notes in the project folder.
  
  

Material Selection

• Make proposal for the materials used in the final renders by shortlisting them from the catalogues.
• Finalize them with the lead architect/ I.D.
• Record these materials in material order list and pass it on
  
  

to the material purchase team.

Project Coordination

• Work closely with project manager to ensure timely and efficient project delivery.
• Collaborate with estimator, site engineers and project managers for proper design execution.
  
  

Closure And Evaluation

• Close the project by ensuring all designs and drawings are delivered on time and in budget.
• Conduct a post-project evaluation to identify lessons learnt and areas of improvement.
  
  

Develop The Skill & Knowledge To Grow Into InteriorDesigner

Develop the skill and knowledge to make initial design concept according to the client memo and to lead the team of at least two persons (draftsman and junior interior designer) to accomplish the project independently.
