Job Summary
The Human Resources Manager is responsible for leading and managing all aspects of the
human resources function within the hotel/resort. This includes talent acquisition, employee
Relations, Compensation And Benefits, Training And Development, Performance Management,
HR policy development and implementation, and ensuring compliance with all labor laws
and regulations. The HR Manager acts as a strategic partner to the General Manager and
department heads, fostering a positive work environment, promoting employee engagement,
and supporting the achievement of the hotel's business objectives through its people.
Key Responsibilities
for all hotel positions.
Manage the full recruitment lifecycle: job posting, screening, interviewing, reference
checks, offer letters, and onboarding.
Conduct thorough onboarding programs to ensure new hires are successfully
integrated into the hotel culture and understand policies and procedures.
Build and maintain relationships with local colleges, universities, and hospitality
schools for talent pipeline development.

Mediate and resolve employee disputes, ensuring fair and consistent application of
company policies and procedures.
Conduct investigations into employee misconduct, harassment, or other sensitive
issues, maintaining confidentiality and objectivity.

Develop and implement employee recognition and retention programs.

Provide guidance to managers on performance coaching, corrective action, and
disciplinary procedures.
Support department heads in managing employee performance effectively.
Prepare regular HR reports, including headcount, turnover, recruitment metrics, and
training effectiveness.
Analyze HR data to identify trends and recommend actionable solutions to
management.
Manage the HR budget effectively.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, Business
Administration, Psychology, or a related field. A Master's degree (e.g., MBA in HR)
or professional HR certification (e.g., PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP) is highly
preferred.
Experience
(hotels or resorts).
Personal Attributes
Primarily office-based, but requires interaction with all hotel departments and staff.
Standard business hours, with some flexibility required to address employee issues or
attend events outside of regular hours.
May involve occasional travel for training or corporate meetings.
