Head of Analytics

The Head of Analytics is a strategic professional who contributes to directional strategy, provides advice and counsel to leaders involved in complex deliveries and influences teams with data via up to date visualization techniques. This individual will be responsible for gathering, analyzing, and interpreting data from diverse sources to provide valuable insights and support processes within the bank. The Head of Analytics will work closely with various stakeholders to develop reports, dashboards, and presentations to facilitate data-driven decision-making across the organization.

Responsibilities

• develop and maintain the Management Information System (MIS) by gathering and analyzing data from various sources, including internal systems, databases, and external sources
• collaborate with stakeholders to identify business requirements, KPIs, and reporting needs, and translate them into actionable reports, dashboards, and presentations
• utilize database query and manipulation tools to extract, clean, and transform data for analysis purposes
• perform in-depth data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and insights, and provide recommendations to improve business processes and performance
• develop and maintain ad hoc and standardized reports, ensuring accuracy, relevance, and timeliness of information
• create visualizations, charts, and graphs to present data in a clear and concise manner, catering to different levels of stakeholders
• identify and comply data sets into required formats using variety of tools ( Python, SQL, Advanced Excel etc).
  
  

Requirements

• bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Computer Science, or a related field. A master's degree is a plus
• a minimum of 5 years of experience in business analysis, data analysis, or a related role, preferably in the banking or financial services industry
• proficiency in working with diverse datasets, performing data analysis, and utilizing database query and manipulation tools (e.g., SQL, Excel, Python, R)
• strong understanding of banking and finance principles, products, and processes
• experience in developing and managing Management Information Systems (MIS) is highly desirable
• advanced proficiency in data visualization and reporting tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI)
