Position Overview:

The Production supervisor shall manage the day-to-day operations of the Generator Assembly area. You will be responsible for scheduling the Generator Assembly of various turbine components. Accountable for ensuring safety, customer quality, cost, and managing on time delivery requirements.

Responsibilities included but not limited to:

  • Effectively and efficiently supervises and manages the required daily/weekly/monthly targets in line with cross-team and customer requirements.
  • Adherence to design specifications, quality standards, and delivery expectations.
  • Minimize costs wherever possible and ensure best working practices are implemented and maintained.
  • Responsible for contribution in achieving production targets with required capabilities, yield, and lead time.
  • Identify business improvement opportunities within the organization.
  • Works with cross-functional teams to provide crucial inputs to improve Assembly procedures and production.
  • Contribution in optimizing the processes in terms of consistent quality and productivity.
  • Responsible for implementing appropriate cost-efficient initiatives in collaboration with responsible functions.
  • Responsible for adherence to factory load plan and work schedule.
  • Oversees planning of material, manpower, machine tools, and other consumables items.
  • Oversees planning of calibration of various measuring instruments and lifting tools and tackles.
  • Responsible for ensuring strict adherence to all company manufacturing standards/methods and policies.
  • Ensures that the operations are performed in accordance with health, safety, and environmental policies as per the standard operating procedures to ensure the safety and wellbeing of staff, customers, and visitors.
  • Ensure compliance with standard operating procedures and safety regulations.
  • Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.

Requirements/ Qualifications:

  • Relevant manufacturing/engineering degree is required.
  • Extensive factory floor experience with significant team supervisory experience.
  • Must be familiar with Generator and its components.
  • Has thorough knowledge and practical experience of Generator Assembly different components.
  • Must be familiar with engineering BOM’s and drawings.
  • Knowledge of SAP and MOP tools.
  • Has ability to act decisively and solve staff, material, or equipment-related problem.
  • Must be computer proficient, including Microsoft Windows and Office software applications.
  • Excellent English written, verbal and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and multi-tasking.
  • Competent in problem solving, team building, planning and decision making.
  • Excellent customer service skills, with an advanced understanding of customer relationship building.
  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional team members.
