Our client is a leading player in the metals and manufacturing industry, known for innovation, quality, and operational excellence. They are seeking an experienced leader in welding technology for their plant. Job Description
Reporting to the Plant Head, you will:
- Lead, mentor, and manage the welding team, including engineers, supervisors, and production staff.
- Oversee welding procedure selection, qualification, and application, ensuring compliance with international standards (API, ISO, ASME).
- Evaluate and implement new welding technologies to enhance performance and quality.
- Provide technical guidance, troubleshoot complex welding issues, and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
- Establish and maintain strict quality control processes, collaborating with the QA team to address non-conformances and drive improvements.
- Develop and oversee welding schedules to meet production goals and deadlines.
- Enforce safety protocols to ensure a compliant and safe working environment
- Holds a Bachelor's degree in Metallurgical/Welding Technology or a related field.
- Brings 15+ years of experience in welding technology, with expertise in LSAW manufacturing processes.
- Has a strong understanding of welding standards (API 5L, ASME IX) and advanced welding technologies.
- Preferred candidates will have knowledge of alloy steel welding, process piping, and heat treatments for impact tests at minus 60°C.
- Holds relevant welding certifications (e.g., CWI, CSWIP).
