General Manager-SDV Product Development -TMPV

Purpose of the role

Tata Motors is moving towards software-defined vehiclesto provide superior value to customers by enabling cloud-native software development, Centralized compute architecture, retain lifetime value to our customers using OTA and drive significant software ownership.

The role exists to lead the state-of-the-art design & development of Software-Defined Vehicle (SDV) software, ensuring robust, reliable, and high-quality software is delivered to market. This extends to defining and deploying Tata Motor’s Software Define Vehicle strategy.

This role works closely with the other “Heads of” Electrical Systems and Controls team and across the business to deliver high quality features that meet customer expectations.

Job Responsibility

• Build and develop a high performance team to design & develop SDV Products for Tata Motors.
• Define and Develop a modular and scalable HPC SW Architecture and Components to meet the current and potential future requirements.
• Deploy and adopt strong DevOps strategy enabling continuous software development, deployment and testing with strong quality focus
• Ensure Functional Safety and Cyber Security requirements are baked into the Architecture design.
• Work closely with attribute and HMI teams to enable the user experience roadmaps.
• High quality mindset, attention to detail in reliability & safety.
• Strong collaboration skills. Actively promotes cross functional team working & the most efficient solution for the business
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
• Conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments.
• Lead a team of 20 – 30 people and be responsible for the individual develop of this team, aligned to business objectives.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to engineering teams.
  
  

Desired candidate profile

• M.Tech or B.tech in Computer Science / IT / Electrical /Electronics
• Minimum of 18-20 years of Automotive OEM /Tier 1 experience in ECU SW/System development experience
  
  

Mandatory Skills

• 15+ years of experience in leading programs from design to production
• Experience in building and leading large System/SDW development team
• Experience in ADAS &/or Infotainment SW product development
• Experience working with QNX (or equivalent) &/or AUTOSAR standards, & developing products in line with Functional Safety and Cybersecurity standards
• 10+ years of prior experience in software and systems engineering of Automotive ECUs.
