QA Engineer

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Software QA Engineer with minimum 2 years of experience to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products through meticulous testing and quality assurance practices. This role involves working closely with the development team to identify issues and drive continuous improvement in our software development process.

Key Responsibilities

• Test Planning and Design: Collaborate with product managers and developers to understand requirements and design comprehensive test plans and test cases.
• Test Execution: Perform manual and automated testing to identify bugs, glitches, and performance issues in software applications.
• Defect Tracking: Identify, document, and track software defects using bug tracking tools. Work with the development team to prioritize and resolve issues.
• Automation: Develop and maintain automated test scripts using testing frameworks and tools.
• Regression Testing: Conduct regression testing to ensure that new features and bug fixes do not negatively impact existing functionality.
• Performance Testing: Execute performance and load tests to ensure software meets performance criteria.
• Documentation: Maintain detailed documentation of test cases, test results, and quality metrics.
• Continuous Improvement: Participate in code reviews, provide feedback, and contribute to improving QA processes and best practices.
• Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams including developers, product managers, and designers to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle.
  
  
  

Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in software quality assurance and testing.
• Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Technical Skills:
• Proficiency in at least one programming or scripting language (e.g., Python, JavaScript, Java).
• Experience working with Restful webservices and apis
• Experience with automated testing tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, JUnit, TestNG).
• Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git).
• Understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies.
• Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Team Player: Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
• Adaptability: Willingness to learn new tools and technologies as needed.
  
  

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) tools (e.g., Jenkins, CircleCI).
• Knowledge of performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner).
• Experience with mobile application testing.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms and services (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
